Amazon Seller Central: processes that hold up – from order to parcel.
Selling on Amazon rarely fails on the marketplace – it fails in the back office: orders get retyped by hand, stock levels drift apart, shipping eats hours. We advise on Seller Central processes and tooling and integrate Amazon into your existing system landscape – order intake, inventory management, pick/pack/ship and carriers. We have built exactly these interfaces before and run them in the daily operations of a manufacturing company.
From real operations
We built Amazon order processing and a touch-optimized pack-and-ship solution for a manufacturing company – connected to ERP, DHL and DPD, in daily use.
Process before tool
We do not sell a software license, we sell the working workflow: first the process, then the right tool – bought or built.
Honest boundary
We consult, build and enable your team. Ongoing account management (PPC campaigns, daily upkeep) is deliberately not our business – that belongs in your hands.
Where the Amazon back office breaks down in everyday life.
As soon as more than a handful of orders arrive per day, the same fault lines appear every time:
Orders get retyped
Orders from Seller Central are transferred into the ERP or inventory system by hand – slow, error-prone, and simply unmanageable beyond a certain volume.
Stock levels drift apart
Warehouse, ERP and Amazon show three different numbers. The result: overselling, cancellations and penalties on your seller performance.
Shipping as the bottleneck
Picking, packing, printing labels, reporting tracking back – spread across several programs and slips of paper. Every shipment costs minutes that add up daily.
Prime & deadlines breathing down your neck
Seller-fulfilled shipping with deadlines, FBA inbound shipments with rules: whoever does not have the processes under control loses first the Buy Box and then the margin.
Returns without a process
Returns, refunds and A-to-z claims are handled by shouting across the room – nobody knows what has already been processed and what is costing money.
A patchwork of tools
Another tool with another subscription for every problem – but the systems do not talk to each other, and the overview is more lost than ever.
What we deliver for your Amazon operations.
Two building blocks that belong together: consulting on processes and tooling – and the technical integration that turns them into one seamless workflow.
- Seller Central process consulting – Order processing, inventory management, shipping templates, returns, seller performance: we analyze your workflows in Seller Central and in the back office and define the target process – FBA, FBM or mixed.
- Tooling & system selection – Which tasks does Seller Central handle itself, where do you need inventory management, shipping software or a custom build? Vendor-neutral recommendations based on volume, team and budget – including "you do not need another subscription for that".
- Automating order intake – Orders flow automatically from Amazon (and other channels) into your ERP or inventory system – with clean article mapping, pricing logic and error handling instead of retyping routines.
- Pick/pack/ship processes – From order to shipment ready to go: picking lists, packing workstations (touch-optimized for the warehouse desk if you like), label printing and tracking feedback to Amazon – as one continuous workflow.
- Connecting carriers – DHL, DPD & co. straight from the process: labels, manifests, status data – no copy-paste between portals.
- Team enablement – We document the processes and train your team until it runs the operation confidently on its own – including Amazon product and account topics if desired.
Reference from practice
For a food manufacturer we developed the Amazon order processing and a touch-optimized pack-and-ship application – marketplaces and web shop connected to the ERP and the carriers DHL/DPD, in daily productive use.
Systems
Amazon SP-API / Seller Central · ERP & inventory management (incl. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, CSB) · shipping APIs (DHL, DPD) · custom software where standard tools fall short.
What we do not do
No ongoing account management, no PPC agency services, no permanent listing operations. We build the processes and get your team fit – you keep control of your account.
How many minutes does a single order cost you?
Do the quick math – and then let us calculate together what a seamless process saves.
Marketplace and ERP: the interface makes the difference.
The difference between "we also sell on Amazon" and a profitable channel almost always lies in the integration: as long as orders, stock levels and shipping data are moved manually between Seller Central, ERP and carrier portals, every item sold also grows the workload – and the error rate right along with it.
A clean integration flips the relationship: the order triggers the process, not the employee. Orders land automatically in the leading system, stock levels synchronize in a direction you define, the packing station gets a clear work list, and labels and tracking are created within the same workflow. Your team only steps in where there are exceptions.
Our principle: buy before build – but honestly assessed. Often an existing inventory system or an established shipping tool covers 80%; then we configure instead of developing. Where your processes are special – batches, cold chain, mixed cartons, manufacturing operations – we build precisely the missing pieces as custom software. We have implemented both in practice and run them in day-to-day business.
Typical effect
Order transfer from minutes to seconds, shipping preparation per parcel cut in half, overselling practically eliminated.
Multichannel included
What is built for Amazon usually carries eBay, Otto & your web shop too – one integration logic for all channels.
Existing systems
We work with what you have: ERP and inventory management stay in the lead, Amazon gets connected – not the other way around.
How we bring order to your Amazon operations.
Process analysis
We look at order volume, workflows and system landscape – on site or remote. The result: weak spots, quick wins and a target process with an effort estimate.
Define process & tooling
Together we decide what gets configured, bought or built – with an honest recommendation and a clear cost breakdown.
Implement the integration
Interfaces to Amazon, ERP and carriers, packing workstations, error handling – in stages, without interrupting ongoing sales.
Parallel operation & testing
The new process initially runs alongside the old one: only when the numbers and the team are convinced do we switch over.
Handover & enablement
Documentation, training, a contact person for operations – your team runs the channel itself, we stay in the background if you wish.
Frequently asked questions about Amazon consulting.
Do you also take over ongoing account management?
No – deliberately not. We advise on processes, products and account topics, build the integration and train your team. Daily account upkeep and PPC campaigns stay with you or with an agency specialized in them. That way there is no conflict of interest: our recommendations never have to serve a follow-up contract.
We are just starting out on Amazon – is it too early for consulting?
Quite the opposite: whoever plans processes and system integration before growth saves themselves the clean-up later. A compact setup is often enough for the start – we tell you honestly what you need at the beginning and what only makes sense at higher volume.
Which ERP systems do you work with?
We are fundamentally system-agnostic. We have hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and the food-industry ERP CSB, among others; via the Amazon SP-API and clean interfaces, almost any inventory management system can be connected. What matters is the process logic, not the logo on the system.
FBA or FBM – what do you recommend?
That is a math and process question, not a matter of belief: margin, volume, storability, cold chain, return rate. A mixed model is often the most economical. We run both scenarios with your numbers – including the back-office costs that tend to get forgotten in such comparisons.
What does the process analysis cost?
The analysis is a compact fixed-price project of a few days – you know the price in advance. The result is a concrete action plan with effort estimates that you could also proceed with without us. After that, you decide what we implement together.
Does this also work for eBay, Otto and our own web shop?
Yes. The integration logic – order intake, inventory management, pick/pack/ship, shipping – is designed to work across channels. Amazon is usually the most demanding channel; what runs cleanly there carries the other marketplaces along.
