Android app development – reach across every kind of device.
Android means enormous reach – and enormous variety: hundreds of device models, screen sizes and OS versions. Our Android app development delivers apps that run reliably across that entire spectrum, and we take them all the way to Google Play. On request, the iOS version comes from the same codebase at the same time.
Device diversity handled
Responsive layouts and testing across real device classes – not just in the emulator.
Google Play launch
Store listing, privacy declarations, staged rollouts – properly prepared and supported.
iOS included?
From the same Flutter codebase, we can ship to the App Store as well.
What our Android app development includes.
From concept and the Play Console to day-to-day operations – all from one team.
- Concept & Material Design – Design following Google’s Material Design principles – familiar to Android users, distinctive for your brand.
- Development for every device class – Smartphones, tablets and foldables, from entry-level devices to flagships – performant even on weaker hardware.
- Google Play publishing – Store listing, graphics, Data Safety declarations, releases with staged rollout – we know the Play Console from running our own app.
- System integrations – Push (FCM), camera, GPS, biometric sign-in, Google Pay, widgets and background services as needed.
- Updates & maintenance – Adaptation to new Android versions and Play Store policies, crash monitoring, ongoing development.
Technology
Flutter with Material components; native Kotlin modules for special cases.
Distribution
Google Play · Managed Play for enterprises · direct distribution (APK/MDM) for internal apps.
Our own Android app
Pauly is live on Google Play – the Play Console, rollouts and user feedback are our daily routine.
What you should know about Android development.
Android plays by its own rules – knowing them saves money and nerves. The key points up front:
Fragmentation is solvable – with discipline
Hundreds of devices mean: test, test, test. Flutter reduces the risk because the UI renders identically everywhere – and we additionally verify on real device classes.
Play policies change constantly
Google regularly tightens requirements (target API levels, Data Safety, permissions). A maintained app stays compliant – an abandoned one eventually gets removed from the store.
Android also means internal distribution
Company apps don’t have to go through the public store – Managed Google Play or MDM distribution keeps internal tools internal.
Don’t forget iOS
Depending on your audience, the iPhone half of the market can be decisive. With Flutter it isn’t extra development – it’s a second build of the same codebase.
Google Play won’t wait.
From the Play Console to staged rollouts: we get your app into the store cleanly – and keep it there when Google tightens its requirements.
Our own app on Google Play.
Play Console, staged rollouts, review feedback – we run all of it daily for our own product.
Pauly – dictate your shopping list
Pauly, our voice-controlled shopping list app, runs on Google Play across the full breadth of Android devices: on-device speech recognition, offline operation, real-time sync. One Flutter codebase that serves the Apple App Store in parallel. That operating experience flows straight into client projects – from choosing a sensible minimum Android version to rolling out new releases in stages.
Frequently asked questions about Android app development.
How much does an Android app cost?
As with any app, the feature scope decides. The cross-platform advantage: iOS can come from the same codebase on request – you don’t pay for a second development. After a free initial consultation you receive a transparent effort estimate.
Which devices will the app run on?
On practically the entire relevant Android spectrum – smartphones, tablets and foldables from a range of manufacturers. Together we define the minimum Android version to match your audience, and we test on real device classes.
How does publishing on Google Play work?
Via the Play Console: store listing, graphics, the Data Safety form, review by Google (usually faster than Apple’s), then rollout – staged if you prefer, to minimise risk. We handle the entire process.
Do you develop natively in Kotlin or with Flutter?
Flutter by default – native performance, Material Design, and iOS/desktop from the same codebase. For deep system integration we add targeted Kotlin modules. What matters is what’s economical for your case.
Can you distribute an internal app without the public store?
Yes – via Managed Google Play or your mobile device management. That keeps internal company apps internal while remaining cleanly updatable.
Which minimum Android version should the app support?
We define that together based on your audience: too high a minimum version excludes users with older devices, too low a version drives up testing and maintenance effort. In practice, we find the balance through the device distribution of your users – and afterwards keep the app up to date with the target API levels Google requires, so it stays in the store permanently.
Does the app run on tablets and foldables too?
Yes. We design responsive layouts that adapt to screen size and aspect ratio – from compact smartphones to tablets and foldables that offer the area of a small tablet when unfolded. Whether dedicated tablet views make sense depends on the use case; we clarify that in the concept phase.
